Jose Luis Blanco

McKinsey recently reported that technology has the potential to increase productivity by as high as 50%. It is important to make sure that the data is clear and that leadership is open to collaboration. McKinsey has found that many contractors are using technology. Companies are seeking new customers and more efficient ways to deliver their projects. McKinsey also found that many firms have adopted technology to improve productivity as well as lower costs. The benefits of increased productivity and efficiency are also being enjoyed by self-performing contractors.

Jose is responsible for McKinsey's North America construction and engineering work. He is an expert in construction technology and real property and provides advice to capital project leaders through the entire lifecycle of a project. His previous experience includes leading hundreds of engineers through complex projects and working for Europe's largest E&C company. He has deep expertise in unlocking value via digital capabilities embedding and scaling new technology.

Accepting technology

Technology is changing the way we communicate, build, and engineer. Earlier, manual sketching and illustrations were used to convey project details and communicate progress to workers. It is now possible to create digital records. Construction companies can communicate with their workers constantly and manage costs at the jobsite. It allows for 3-D modeling projects and simulations of many aspects, including the cost.

Increasingly, construction companies are embracing technology to keep pace with the changing landscape. Construction firms face new challenges as clients become more aware of changing markets and their needs. The future of built infrastructure will be based on modularity and optimization of health, security, and energy parameters. Technology becomes cheaper and more efficient, opening up new possibilities. McKinsey’s construction technology landscape scan (CTP) is one example of this technology.

Labor shortages

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, construction workers are scarce. According to the report the average hourly wage of construction workers has increased by 2.6%, compared with 2.1 percent for all U.S. employees. There are many factors that contributed to the shortage. These include the recession, which forced many workers into other occupations and restrictive immigration laws that have mostly prevented undocumented immigrant immigrants from filling the void. Another factor is the education system. As parents pushed their children toward university, they have been gradually eliminating vocational training.

McKinney's shortage of workers isn't just affecting the construction industry. It affects nearly every industry in the region. A lack of workers in construction means that there are fewer code officials and designers. Nearly 80% of American construction companies report that they have difficulty filling positions in salaried crafts, according to the 2020 Construction Outlook Survey by the Associated General Contractors of America. This problem is likely to increase as housing costs continue their rise.

How To

Repairing A Damaged Motor Of A Drone

You must first identify the damaged part of your motor before you can fix it. The easiest way to do this is to remove the propeller from the motor shaft. Then remove any wires and take a look at the motor's inner workings. If you find something wrong, it is time to identify the problem.

You don't need to worry if there's no damage to your motor. However, a motor that looks like the one below will require you to replace certain components before you can fly again.

Consider a motor that has become bent and won't turn. The motor will need to be bent back into its original shape. For this purpose, you could use a vice grip to hold the motor and bend it back into shape. Once you've done this, make sure to check the motor thoroughly for signs of wear.

Once you're satisfied that everything's ok, put the propeller back onto the motor shaft and reattach the wires. Your drone is now ready for flight!
