How To

What is a Battery Pack? How do I replace it?

Your drone's main power source is the battery pack. They provide enough power for your quadcopter to fly smoothly and safely.

When you buy a new drone, you probably won't notice any difference between the old battery pack and the new one. But, over time, your battery pack will slowly become worn down. It may stop working completely eventually. To make sure that your drone is still functioning properly, you will need to replace its battery.

It is best to use the original component when replacing a batteries pack. If you install a faulty pack, your drone could be damaged.

These steps will help you replace your battery pack.

  1. Disconnect the cable from the battery connector. This will ensure your drone doesn't get any electric current. Simply pull the connector cable off the drone to disconnect it.
  2. Unscrew your battery pack. Take the battery pack out of the bottom part of your quadcopter. The battery pack often splits into two pieces.
  3. Locate the contacts of your battery. Once you've removed the battery pack, look around for the battery contacts. These tiny metal pins connect to the battery and other components of the drone.
  4. Install the new battery. Next, insert the new battery into your drone. Next, align the battery connectors at the two ends of the battery pack. Push the battery pack onto your drone. Once this is done, tighten your bolts to secure the battery pack.
  5. Reattach the battery connector cables. Reconnect the battery connector cable after you have installed the new battery pack.
  6. Test the drone. Make sure your drone is still working properly before you take it out again. If it does, congratulations!
